Rabat – Al-Ittihad have reportedly submitted an official offer to Girona for Morocco midfielder Azzedine Ounahi as the Saudi club looks to strengthen its squad during the summer transfer window.
According to Saudi journalist Mohamed Al-Bakiri, Al-Ittihad are now in a strong position to complete the deal, although negotiations remain ongoing.
The report claims Ounahi’s release clause stands at €20 million, with Al-Ittihad hoping to pay the transfer fee in two or three installments rather than in a single payment.
Girona’s response to the proposal is expected to determine whether the move progresses in the coming days.
Ounahi joined the Spanish side from Olympique de Marseille in the summer of 2025, signing a contract that runs until June 2030.
The Moroccan international enjoyed a productive first campaign in La Liga, making 24 appearances, scoring five goals, and providing two assists across all competitions.
The 27-year-old has continued to attract attention following his performances for both club and country, with his technical ability and versatility in midfield making him a valuable asset.
Neither Girona nor Al-Ittihad has publicly commented on the reported negotiations.
