Casablanca – Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Diaz says he is eager to begin the new season under Jose Mourinho, expressing confidence that the Portuguese manager can guide the club back to silverware.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the Morocco international said he was excited to reunite with his teammates after the summer break and begin preparations for the campaign ahead.
“I couldn’t wait to come back and see my teammates,” Diaz said. “I’m really excited for this season and very happy to be back.”
The 25-year-old described the team’s preseason training sessions as physically demanding, emphasizing the importance of building fitness before competitive matches begin.
“We’re having good training sessions that are physically intense and require a lot of effort,” he said. “These preparations are important so we can be in the best possible condition at the start of the season because Real Madrid is expected to win every match.”
Diaz also commended Mourinho and his coaching staff, highlighting the experience they bring to the club.
“Things are going well,” he said. “He and his staff are highly qualified. Everyone knows who Mourinho is and what he has achieved. We want to keep winning with him.”
According to Diaz, Mourinho has stressed the importance of collective effort despite the squad’s individual quality.
“He always asks us to play with intensity,” Diaz explained. “He reminds us that we have great individual quality, but teamwork and sacrificing for one another are what matter most because success comes when we play as one team.”
Looking ahead, Diaz said his personal ambition is to contribute as much as possible while helping Madrid compete for every trophy available.
“I’ll give the best version of myself in every match,” he said. “The most important thing at Real Madrid is winning titles because that’s what this club is all about.”
The Moroccan international added that he is in a positive place both professionally and personally as he prepares for another season at the Santiago Bernabéu.
“I’m very happy, and I want to keep enjoying football because it’s my passion,” Diaz concluded. “Everything is going well with my family too, and I’m looking forward to continuing to enjoy what I love at the best club in the world while staying focused on the positives.”
