Rabat – Paris Saint-Germain have officially completed the signing of Belgian winger Mika Godts from Ajax in a transfer worth up to approximately $64 million.
Ajax confirmed on Saturday that the agreement could reach a maximum of €55 million, including bonuses. PSG announced that Godts has signed a contract running until 2031 and will wear the No. 22 shirt.
The 21-year-old becomes another attacking reinforcement for Luis Enrique during an active summer window. His arrival was confirmed on the same day PSG completed the signing of Spain international Ferran Torres.
“I feel incredibly proud to be joining one of the best clubs in the world,” Godts said following the move. “I can’t wait to pull on this shirt and experience the Parc des Princes and its supporters.”
Godts arrives in Paris following the most productive season of his young career. Operating mainly from the left wing, despite being right-footed, he recorded 17 goals and 12 assists in the Eredivisie during the 2025-2026 campaign.
Across all competitions last season, PSG said he finished with 17 goals and 15 assists in 44 appearances, becoming only the third Ajax player since 2010 to reach at least 15 goals and 15 assists in a single campaign.
Rapid rise at Ajax
Godts began his development with Anderlecht before moving to Genk in 2020. Ajax signed him in January 2023 when he was 17, initially placing him with Jong Ajax before gradually integrating him into the senior team.
He went on to make 115 official appearances for Ajax and score 26 goals. His performances last season earned him both the Johan Cruijff Talent of the Year award in the Eredivisie and Ajax’s Marco van Basten Trophy as the club’s Talent of the Year.
Ajax technical director Jordi Cruijff acknowledged that the Dutch club had hoped to keep Godts for another season but said the winger had earned the opportunity to join one of Europe’s leading teams.
“We did not want to lose him,” Cruijff said, adding that Godts had contributed significantly through his goals, assists and performances.
Godts has also begun establishing himself at international level. He made his senior Belgium debut against the United States on March 28 and has since earned two caps.
His arrival gives Luis Enrique another versatile wide attacker capable of carrying the ball, beating defenders one-on-one and moving inside onto his stronger right foot.
