Rabat – Moroccan international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, winger for Real Betis, returned to full team training on Tuesday after recovering from the injury he suffered while on international duty with Morocco.
The 24-year-old took part in the entire training session alongside his teammates, marking an important step in his recovery and bringing him closer to a return to competitive action.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Ezzalzouli could be included in the Real Betis squad for their La Liga meeting with Real Sociedad on Friday, although his involvement will depend on his physical condition and the coaching staff’s decision.
Ezzalzouli has been sidelined since picking up the injury during Morocco’s friendly against Norway, just one week before the start of the World Cup. The setback prevented him from featuring for Real Betis and meant he has not played a single minute for the club since then.
His return to training is therefore positive news for both the player and the Spanish side, who will be hoping to have him back in the squad soon.
Ezzalzouli’s pace, creativity and ability to play on the wing could provide Real Betis with another attacking option as they continue their campaign.
