Rabat – King Mohammed VI has sent a message of condolences and sympathy to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan following the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In his message, King Mohammed VI said he received the news of Sheikh Ahmed’s death with “great emotion and profound sorrow,” and expressed his condolences to the UAE president, the deceased’s family and relatives, and the Emirati people.
The monarch asked God to grant Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the bereaved family patience and comfort as they cope with the loss.
King Mohammed VI also prayed for the deceased to receive divine mercy and be welcomed into paradise. He commended Sheikh Ahmed’s service to his country and nation, as well as the good deeds he carried out during his life.
“While sharing your grief, I implore the Almighty to preserve you and grant you continued health and peace,” the King said in his message, while expressing his esteem and consideration for the UAE president.
The message comes as Morocco and the United Arab Emirates maintain close diplomatic ties and regular high-level contacts.
