Rabat – Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) expects thunderstorms accompanied by hail and strong wind gusts in several parts of the North African country on Sunday.
According to an orange-level weather alert, thunderstorms producing between 20 and 30 millimeters of rain are forecast in the provinces of Boulemane, Azilal, Midelt, and Ifrane.
The alert is in effect from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
Residents in the affected areas are urged to exercise caution during the alert period and to stay informed about weather updates issued by the relevant authorities.
Drivers are also advised to exercise extra caution on the roads, particularly during periods of heavy rain, hail, and strong winds, as weather conditions may affect visibility and road safety.
