Moncef Belkhayat, Founder & Chairman H&S invest Holding and Hicham Kitane, CEO of One Retail.

Agadir – One Retail plans to open its first INTERSPORT store in Morocco in 2027, starting in Casablanca, as the group expands its portfolio of international brands and targets further growth across the country.

“One Retail is taking another step in its development with the arrival of INTERSPORT in Morocco. This strategic partnership reinforces the group’s ambition to build a major player in the multi-brand, multi-segment retail sector, serving the evolving needs of Moroccan consumers,” the company announced today.

The first store will cover 1,200 square meters on Boulevard Al Massira in Casablanca. The company plans to expand the sports retailer to other cities, including Bouskoura, Marrakech, Rabat, Tangier, and Agadir.

The partnership adds a new brand to One Retail’s portfolio and strengthens its presence in Morocco’s sports and lifestyle market.

The group aims to combine INTERSPORT’s international expertise in sporting goods with its knowledge of the Moroccan market to offer products suited to local consumers and improve the shopping experience.

One Retail expands its brand portfolio

The partnership is part of One Retail’s strategy to diversify its activities across several retail segments.

The group currently operates 250 stores in 47 cities across Morocco, spanning food and beverages, home improvement, beauty, convenience retail, and sports and lifestyle.

Its brands include Venezia Ice and Dahab Coffee in food and beverages, Mr.Bricolage Maroc in home improvement, Flormar and Beauty For You in beauty, and Franprix and Monoprix in convenience retail.

INTERSPORT will join the group’s portfolio as it seeks to strengthen its position in the sports and lifestyle segment.

The expansion will also support the group’s efforts to bring international brands and sporting goods closer to Moroccan consumers, according to the company’s announcement.

One Retail targets MAD 2 billion in revenue

One Retail aims to reach MAD 2 billion ($202 million) in turnover and operate 400 stores by 2027, building on its existing network and continued expansion into new retail segments.

The addition of INTERSPORT is expected to contribute to these targets by opening new growth opportunities in Morocco’s sports and lifestyle market.

“With INTERSPORT, One Retail continues its expansion and confirms its ambition to bring international brands closer to Moroccan consumers. This marks a new step in building a major player in the Moroccan retail sector,” the company concluded.
