Rio de Janeiro – Moroccan boxer Mohamed Rabii won on Monday a bronze medal during a men’s welterweight 69-kg boxing match at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Rabii lost in the semifinals to Uzbekistan’s Giyasov Shakhram (0-3).
This is Morocco’s fourth Olympic bronze medal in the boxing competition, after those of Taher Tamsamani (Sydney 2000) and brothers Achik; Abdelhak (Seoul 1988) and Mohamed (Barcelona 1992).
