Rabat – Moroccan authorities on Saturday seized 18.15 tons of Hashish (cannabis resin) aboard a TIR truck and arrested two suspects, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the banned substance, which was carefully concealed in a shipment of agricultural products, was discovered upon inspection of the cargo vehicle that was about to embark to Europe, the same source pointed out, adding that the driver and his companion were arrested.
The suspects, aged 30 and 39, were placed in custody pending the completion of the investigation.
