Rabat – Wydad of Casablanca’s latest choreography “Tifo” displayed by Winners 2005 in the stands of the Mohammed V stadium during the match against Olympique Club de Safi on Sunday was ranked the best “Tifo” in the world by French magazine La Grinta.
The French Magazine’s ranking of the best “Tifos” in the world was based on certain criteria such as creativity, complexity and the quality of the choreography.
“At first, the 2005 Winners celebrated their 10 years in the most beautiful way. Thereafter, they started choreography with a sign on tifo sheets: “From a story,” the magazine said.
Subsequently, “they started the choreography with a film-like tifo sheet that read: ‘Inspired by a story’. Subsequently, a series of six film-like banners were rolled (beginnings, challenges, maturity, boycott, pain, renaissance) based on the moments that have marked the history of the group. The animated ending was a leaf tifo commemorating the 10 years,” the Grinta.fr site said wishing the Winners a happy anniversary.
The choreography illustrates several sections of the arena in which thousands of Moroccans came together to sing the national anthem, harmoniously jump in place as one, display a large Moroccan flag, and roll perfectly choreographed banners up and down the stands.
Winners fan-group dressed in red cheered the Wydad of Casablanca at the city’s stadium during a memorable weekend coinciding with the 40th Anniversary of Morocco’s Green March.
