Rabat – Team Morocco Atlas Lions defeated British Lionhearts 3-2 in the World Series of Boxing (WSB) at London’s York Hall on Thursday.

The Atlas Lions won the first match of the evening at Flyweight (52 kg) when Achraf Kharroubi defeated Spain’s José Kelvin de la Nieve Linares by split decision.

Moroccan Welterweight (69 kg) Mohammed Rabii defeated Britain’s Haizel Ekow Tabiri-Essuman on points (3-0) to maintain his undefeated streak going.

However, Abdellah Boudrar at Lightweight category (60 kg) lost to 19-year-old Lionheart Luke McCormack (0-3), while Abouhamada Abdeljalil lost to second ranked Lionheart Joseph Joyce on points in the last fight of the evening at Super heavyweight (91+ kg).

Morocco Atlas Lions’ next fixture is against Ukraine Otamans in Casablanca.
