Casabanca: a young man fatally struck by the tram

Casablanca- A thirty-year young man on Monday was fatally struck by the tramway in Casablanca, according to Maghreb Arab Press.

The young man was hit while trying to cross the tram platform without paying attention to the imminent arrival of the train and without going through the crosswalk.

The elements of civil protection rushed to the scene of the accident. It took them nearly thirty minutes to remove the body of the victim under the wheels of the train, causing a disruption of traffic, according to the same source.

This is the first fatal collision that occurs since the beginning of the year. A motorcyclist and a pedestrian were killed in two similar accidents last August.
