CASABLANCA – The Spanish ministers’ council received the memorandum sent by the Moroccan ministry of justice and liberties to the Spanish judiciary against Spanish pedophile Daniel Galvan. The memorandum requests the Spanish authorities to give Galvan back to Morocco.

During its weekly meeting, the Spanish ministers’ council discussed the condition of Daniel Galvan in “Do Soto” prison in Madrid. Daniel Galvan spent fourteen days in prison and may be released today.

The detention of Galvan is likely to end if the Moroccan memorandum fails to abide by the terms of the extradition treaty signed by Morocco and Spain.

Sources close to the Moroccan daily Al Massae revealed that Daniel Galvan is likely to spend the 28 years that remains of his sentence in a Spanish prison.  According to the same sources, it is extremely unlikely that the Spanish pedophile would be handed over to Morocco.

The Moroccan ministry of justice is waiting for the verdict of Judge Fernando Andreo, head of the Spanish supreme court, who has the final say in the request.

It is noteworthy that Morocco had submitted to the Spanish authorities a number of documents related to the Daniel Galvan Fine case. The documents submitted include a request by the public prosecutor at the Kenitra court of appeals to extradite the defendant to Morocco or to make him stand trial again on the charges brought against him.

The royal amnesty granted to the Spanish pedophile stirred an acute outcry among a large segment of Moroccans and democracy activists. In reaction, King Mohammed VI decided to revoke his pardon and urged the ministry of justice and liberties to launch the legal procedures to extradite the Spanish pedophile.
