Tinejdad, Morocco- VirtualTourist.com has ranked Marrakech the 4th city among “Top Ten Best Street Food Cities” that provides tourists and passers-by with mouth-watering meals.

In honour of those mouth-watering meals abroad, the members and editors of travel website VirtualTourist.com have compiled a list of the “Top Ten Best Street Food Cities.”

Marrakech is the only African and Arab city listed in the “Top Ten Best Street Food Cities.”

According to Reuters, Multiple VirtualTourist members recommended Marrakesh’s main square, Djemaa el Fna, as the spot to find your street food snack while in Morocco.

Djemaa el Fna is a high-touristic square in Marrakech that draws more than a million visitors who come to attend the shows hosted by the snake charmers, monkey trainers, storytellers, musicians and other popular artists from early evening until the call for dawn prayer.

The square provides along with folklore activities various tasty meals cooked and served in the open air.

The square contains about a hundred food stalls arranged in parallel lines serving a variety of Moroccan cuisine like roasted meat, kebabs, couscous, soup and other delicious meals that can be eaten at nearby wooden tables on the square.

The quality of food is guaranteed and the prices are varied according to the dish and its accessories but overall the prices are affordable and reasonable.

Some food may seem very strange and more exotic fare like sheep’s testicle, escargots, steamed sheep’s head and spicy fried cow or sheep’s brain, but the taste is irresistibly delicious.
