Rabat – Head coach of Morocco’s national team Walid Regragui will hold a press conference on the Atlas Lions’ upcoming AFCON qualifier match on Thursday.
Morocco will face Gabon at Stade Adrar in Agadir on Friday evening. The match is the first fixture of Group B in the 2025 AFCON Morocco qualifiers.
The press conference will take place the day before at the conference room of Stade Adrar at 6:30 p.m. local time.
Following Regragui’s pre-match conference, the press will have the opportunity to capture pictures from the national team’s training session during the first 15 minutes, starting at 7 p.m.
Head coach of Gabon Thierry Dieudonne Mouyouma, will also present his pre-match conference on Thursday at 5:45 p.m.
Morocco will play its second qualifier against Lesotho on September 9.
All eyes will be on Morocco’s Atlas Lions as they take to the field amid intense anticipation and high expectations.
Fans are eager to see the Atlas Lions deliver a performance that will redeem Morocco’s disappointing exit from the last AFCON. This unexpected defeat to South Africa left Moroccans reeling.
The shock of the defeat was amplified by Morocco’s impressive run in the 2022 World Cup, where they made history as the first Arab and African team to reach the semi-finals.
Head coach Regragui has already revealed his list of players selected for the qualifying matches.
The squad includes usual faces like goalkeepers Yassine Bounou and Munir El Kajoui, as well as key players including Achraf Hakimi, Nayef Augured, Azzedine Ounahi, Youssef En-Nesyri, Hakim Ziyech, Amine Adli among others.
