Rabat, May 15,2012 (MAP)

The government is concerned over the democratic and participatory implementation of the provisions laid in the Constitution, head of the government Abdelilah Benkirane said on Monday at the House of Representatives.

The elaboration of related laws requires an exceptional mobilization from the government and the parliament, Benkirane underlined during the monthly session on the general policy, calling for the pooling of efforts to step up and rationalize legislative actions.

Aware of the importance of this legislative process, The government included the modernization of its legal arsenal into its program, he noted, adding that these laws are notably on the Amazigh language, the right to strike and the constitutional court.

The government is doing well and will make steps that are beneficial to everybody, he insisted. “The State strives for the well-being of citizens.”

He recalled the historic moment witnessed by Morocco since the royal speech dated March 9, 2011, which broadened the Government’s prerogatives and reinforced the principle of accountability.
