RABAT, February 3, 2012 (MAP)

Italian Special Envoy for the Mediterranean and the Middle East, Maurizio Massari, said on Thursday in Rabat that he will persuade MPs in his country to back the Morocco-EU Agrticultural Agreement.

Massari made the statement during talks in Rabat with Speaker of the House of Representatives (Lower House) Karim Ghellab.
The Italian official said the two countries have to further reinforce their parliamentary cooperation through the setting up of a parliamentary friendship group.

On the same occasion, Massari expressed his country’s support for the reforms launched by the Kingdom, adding that his visit aims to add new impetus to bilateral relations.
