Marrakech – Casablanca is about to take center stage as the ultimate battleground for Africa’s gaming elite.
From August 17 to 21, the city will host the first-ever African eSports Championships (AEC24), bringing together 180 top-tier athletes from 17 African countries.
This is more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of skill, strategy, and the unstoppable rise of eSports across the continent.
For the competitors, it’s an opportunity to secure a coveted spot at the World eSports Championships in Riyadh this November.

Kicking off with an opening ceremony on August 16 at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Sports Complex, the event will feature a series of high-stakes competitions.
More than 180 athletes will battle it out across five intense categories: CS2 Open, CS2 Women, MLBB Open, MLBB Women, and PubG Mobile.
Each category is set to bring its own flavor of excitement, as players from across Africa virtually clash in pursuit of victory.
