Fez – The Private University of Fez (UPF) hosted a memorable graduation ceremony yesterday, marking a major milestone for over 300 graduates.

The event was held at the conference hall of Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and families to celebrate the achievements of those who completed their academic journey.

The day was filled with a range of activities designed to honor the graduates and the hard work that took them to the finishing line of their academic journey. The ceremony opened with a speech by Professor Brahim Akdim, followed by a beautiful recitation of the Quran by Saloua Salman.

The UPF Harmony & Melody choir then led the crowd in the Moroccan national anthem, setting the tone for an emotional and proud day ahead.

As the ceremony continued, graduates from various fields of study were called to receive their diplomas.

Among them were students from diverse disciplines, including civil engineering, marketing, finance, and architecture, each marking the end of an academic chapter and the beginning of their professional journey.

The excitement was palpable as graduates stood proud, holding their hard-earned diplomas.

For many, this was a day to reflect on the challenges and obstacles overcome. “It was truly a rewarding year, though filled with many obstacles. But by the grace of God, Alhamdulillah, we made it,” one graduate said.

This sentiment echoed throughout the ceremony as students and their families celebrated their resilience and perseverance.

Along with the diploma presentation, the event included the prestigious Excellence Trophies, awarded to students who had excelled in academic, cultural, and extracurricular activities.

These students were recognized for their outstanding contributions, not just in the classroom, but also in research, sports, and community engagement.

The celebration of these achievements was a reminder of the university’s commitment to fostering a well-rounded education and empowering students to thrive in all areas of life.

In his speech, Vice-President Mohammed Ouazzani-Jamil spoke about the university’s dedication to its students, noting: “We uphold and celebrate the excellence of our students.” The event’s tone reflected this sentiment as faculty, staff, and graduates themselves recognized the university’s role in helping them reach their goals.

As the ceremony came to a close, the graduates and their families gathered to celebrate together.

A final performance, blending modern choral arrangements with traditional Issawa sounds, added a unique touch to the event.

The joy, pride, and sense of accomplishment in the room were evident. For the graduates and their families, this was not just the end of one chapter, but the start of a promising new journey.

This day of celebration was a reminder of the power of education, hard work, and the strong community that supports every student along the way.

It was a fitting tribute to the graduates, their families, and the entire UPF community.
