Accor’s Big Move in Morocco: A New Era for Hospitality

Marrakech – Accor, the global hotel giant, is rolling out a fresh organizational structure in the country, doubling down on its commitment to making Morocco a top-tier destination.

With a sharpened focus on luxury, lifestyle, and operational excellence, this shake-up is set to elevate the guest experience across all its brands — from budget-friendly ibis stays to lavish Sofitel retreats.

But wait, there’s more! This transformation comes with a major leadership shift.

Meet Souleymane Khol, Accor’s newly appointed Vice President of Operations for Premium, Midscale & Economy Brands in Morocco.

With nearly two decades of experience at Accor, Khol is stepping up to oversee 42 hotels across the country, ensuring everything runs smoother than a perfectly folded hotel robe.

Accor’s fresh approach splits its operations into two distinct divisions:

Premium, midscale & economy: Mövenpick, Novotel, Mercure, and ibis)

Luxury & lifestyle: Fairmont, Sofitel, and MGallery

Each segment will get tailored strategies to meet local market demands while maintaining global standards.

And with Mama Shelter and greet set to debut in Morocco, expect some serious lifestyle hotel vibes to hit the scene soon.

If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to run a hospitality empire, Khol is the guy to watch.

From strategic planning to ensuring each guest’s croissant is as flaky as it should be, he’ll be leading the charge from Accor’s Casablanca HQ.

His mission? To streamline operations, amp up customer satisfaction, and make Accor’s Moroccan properties more enticing than ever.

With Morocco’s tourism scene booming, Accor’s bold strategy — and Khol’s leadership—might just make the country the next it destination for travelers seeking unforgettable experiences.

So, whether you’re checking into a boutique MGallery or grabbing a quick espresso at an ibis, know that there’s a whole new level of hospitality excellence unfolding behind the scenes.

Stay tuned — Morocco’s hotel game is leveling up!
