Palestinian fighter Belal Muhammad completely dominated Great Britain’s Leon Edwards and convincingly captured the welterweight title at UFC 304 in Manchester on Saturday.

Muhammad, 36, gave Edwards no respite, dominating him from start to finish. He won by unanimous decision on points, ending Edwards’ impressive streak of 12 consecutive victories. Muhammad’s determination, power, and unwavering willpower were evident throughout the fight.

In the brutal world of MMA, one fighter stands out and fights his battles not only in the cage. Belal Muhammad is such a man. He fights not only for titles but also for his people, the Palestinians.

 Belal Muhammad in the ring

Belal Muhammad is the first Palestinian fighter to make it to the UFC. With the Palestinian flag draped over his shoulders, he shows the world what he stands for.

Even inside the cage, his fight continues. He uses his fame to draw attention to the plight of the Palestinian people.

Children grow up under occupation, without a future, without hope. Belal doesn’t just talk about it; he does something about it. His clothing line, “Remember the Show,” full of symbols of Palestinian pride and resistance, lets everyone know what he stands for.

Belal is a true warrior, one who never gives up. He reminds us that real strength is not only in muscles but also in the courage to stand up for what is right. He fights for justice and humanity with the same determination as in the cage. His actions speak volumes: he is committed to the children in Palestine and uses his platform to raise awareness about the situation there.

Despite the backlash, Muhammad fulfilled his mission. He said, “Allah (swt.) first, always. This fight is for my family, my people, and for Palestine.” And also: “I am Belal Muhammad. I am my own man. Now the world sees it; they must respect it.”

Muhammad fights with a mentality that inspires us all: perseverance, justice, and a determination to never give up. He shows that true strength is not only physical but also moral and mental. He is a symbol of hope and perseverance, not only for Palestinians but for everyone fighting for justice and freedom.

As Dutch poet Jules Deelder once said, “You have to live as if you’ll be struck by lightning in ten seconds.” Belal Muhammad lives and fights with that mentality, and that deserves our respect.
