Rabat -Morocco’s carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and Brazilian airline GOL Linhas Aereas have signed a codeshare agreement, benefiting the two companies’ customers on international flights between Sao Paulo and Casablanca airports.

The agreements covers domestic routes within Morocco from Casablanca to Marrakech, Agadir, Tinghir, Fez, Oujda, Nador, Ouarzazate, Laayoune, Errachidia, and Dakhla.

Under the agreement, Royal Air Maroc customers will have access to GOL’s network, including Brazilian destinations of Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Porto Algere, among others.

For its part, GOL will have market interline flights to over 20 destinations in Africa covered by the Moroccan airline.

“We are happy and proud to contribute through this strategic agreement to strengthening relations between Brazil and Morocco,” CEO of GOL Celso Ferrer said, adding that the partnership with RAM offers the Brazilian airline’s customers a “real gateway to other destinations in Morocco and Africa.”

He said the collaboration allows customers to travel from GOL’s main hubs and reach Sao Paulo, Casablanca, and other major cities across Africa.

CEO of Real Madrid Abdelhamid Addou said the agreement represents a significant step forward in responding to growing demand in both African and Latin American markets.

“This collaboration strengthens our network in both regions, offering our passengers better access to the vibrant cities of Brazil, especially through our direct CasablancaSao Paulo route, while also offering exciting travel opportunities to Morocco and other destinations.”

He also emphasized RAM’s commitment to enriching travel experience and strengthening ties between Morocco and Brazil through a “wider and smoother offering of destinations.”

The codeshare will provide passengers with different options, including various choice of fares, the possibility to purchase a single ticket in local currency, as well as guaranteed protection on connecting flights.

The deal also offers easier flight bookings, simplified checking ad through check in for baggage on connecting journeys.

Royal Air Maroc now operates three direct weekly flights from Sao Paulo to Casablanca on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

From Casablanca, the airline offers three weekly flights to Sao Paulo on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Under the new agreement, the two companies will gradually add new destinations to the codeshare agreement both in South America with the Brazilian carrier and in Africa with the Moroccan carrier.
