Rabat — Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has signed an agreement with Morocco’s National Defense Administration to enhance social services offered to members of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) as well as the staff of defense, veterans, former military personnel, and war orphans.
A statement from FAR General Staff said on Saturday that the agreement was signed on Thursday in Rabat.
The agreement will allow FAR members, defense administration employees, as well as former military personnel to receive a 25% discount on air tickets, both for domestic and international flights.
The agreement is part of King Mohammed VI’s instructions, the statement added.
Individuals eligible for the discounts will have to present the affiliation card issued by the Hassan II Foundation for Social Works for former military personnel and veterans.
Additionally, they can also present a military or professional card, or the mutual card for active military personnel and employees of the defense administration.
Spouses and children of members must present a mutual card, the statement concluded.
The FAR celebrated its 68th anniversary of establishment in May this year.
The Moroccan military has been acknowledged as a significant contributor to global peace and stability.
In April of last year, Morocco was recognized as one of the top ten contributors to UN peacekeeping operations worldwide.
