Rabat – Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi has emerged as the most valuable player in the Arab world with a market value of €65 million, according to the website Transfermarkt.

This ranking has seen him surpass Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah, whose market value has decreased to €55 million, placing him in second.

In third place is Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd, currently playing for West Ham United, with a market value of €35 million. Not far behind, in sixth place, is another Moroccan talent, Brahim Diaz of Real Madrid, who also boasts a market value of €35 million.

Hakimi and Aguerd were key in Morocco’s historic run at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where they played crucial roles in helping their national team reach the semifinals for the first time.

This remarkable achievement showcased the Atlas Lions’ talents, as well as highlighted the growing prominence of Moroccan football on the global stage.

The Moroccan national team has embarked on their campaign in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, putting the performances of these players under intense scrutiny and the expectations are high.

Fans and analysts alike are optimistic that the team’s blend of experienced stars and emerging talents, like Diaz, can secure another strong showing on the world stage.

The Moroccan national team has already begun their 2026 World Cup quest on a high note after beating Zambia 2-1 in their second African qualifiers game last night.
