Rabat – President of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), Ahmed Naser Al Raisi, shed light on Morocco’s contributions to international security  at the start of the fifth Open Days of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).

In his remarks to the press, Al Raisi described Morocco’s progress in this area as exceptional, recalling the country’s participation in over a dozen projects under the auspices of Interpol.

He also recalled Morocco’s participation in around 20 significant security operations worldwide as well as the unanimous choice of the country to host the 93rd General Assembly of Interpol in 2025 in Marrakech.

The choice reflects the country’s leadership and the trust Morocco enjoys internationally, he added.

Morocco’s Open Days opened its doors on Thursday in Agadir.

The initiative, which will continue until May 21, seeks to inform the public about DGSN’s efforts to contribute to the country’s stability and security.

Secretary General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers Mohamed Ben Ali Koman made similar remarks during his participation in the 5th Open Days.

“All security operations are subject to the control of the administrative authorities of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) to ensure their compliance with human rights standards,” he stated.

He also commended Morocco’s support for the joint Arab action, covering the security sector.

Morocco is one of the key security partners for many countries in the international community.

The North African country frequently assists other countries worldwide, providing them with intelligence assistance for security services to arrest wanted suspects.
