Rabat – Logidoo, a Morocco-based startup has raised $1.55 million in seed funds to deploy its solution across Africa.

Founded in 2019 by Tamsir Ousmane Traore, Logidoo aims to connect African markets through intelligent logistics, creating trade corridors between African countries by providing comprehensive logistical solutions.

The funding round was led by Morocco’s Maroc Numeric Fund II, Tunisia’s 216 Capital, and Ethiopia’s Gullit VC.

The list of contributors to the funds includes Nigeria’s Founders Factory Africa, Egypt-Japanese Sunny Side Venture Partners, and Morocco’s Kalys Ventures.

In a statement, Logidoo said that it will use the funding to strengthen its position in Africa and extend its logistical solution to Senegal, Morocco, Ivory Coast, and Tunisia.

This funding round marks a milestone for Logidoo, showcasing the market’s confidence in its innovative approach to addressing a critical African challenge;  relatively low intra-trade compared to regions like Asia and the EU.

By focusing on “cross-border” logistics, the company says that it is not merely a logistics provider but a “visionary” company working to achieve the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Logidoo has positioned itself as a “cross-border end-to-end 5 party-logistics (5PL)” provider, a term that encapsulates its groundbreaking approach and sets it apart in the logistics sector, according to the company’s statement.

Since its establishment, the company has boasted positive operational results. It has aggregated over 3,000 logistics suppliers, completed more than 100,000 operations, served over 400 clients, and has expanded its presence to eight countries across the continent.

In 2023, Logidoo enacted an ambitious expansion plan, extending its presence to five African countries.

Its founder, Tamsir Ousmane Traore, has an extensive background in logistics, including teaching logistics and serving as the Chairman of the logistics commission within the Senegal Private Sector Association. He boasts 10 years of industry expertise.

The startup’s leadership equally includes Mohamed Alaoui, a 3PL and courier specialist with over 20 years of experience in Morocco among other regions.
