Rabat – The General Directorate of Meteorology expects hot weather in many parts of Morocco today.

Temperatures will remain high in the northern and central inland plains, the southeast, inland areas of Souss, and the southern provinces. The eastern region will also see fairly warm conditions.

In the morning and at night, low clouds and patches of fog are expected near the Atlantic coast and the Mediterranean coast.

Some unstable clouds could bring scattered showers or local thunderstorms over the High Atlas mountains and the south of the country. The Middle and Anti-Atlas regions, as well as inland areas of the southern provinces, will see partly cloudy skies.

Moderately strong winds are forecast in the Tangier area, the southern part of the eastern region, and the north of the southern provinces.

Minimum temperatures will range from 14°C to 19°C in the High and Middle Atlas mountains, and from 23°C to 30°C in the southeast, eastern southern provinces, Saiss, inland plains, Tangier, and inland Souss.

The rest of the country will see temperatures between 18°C and 24°C.

Maximum temperatures are expected to rise in the Mediterranean coast, northern and central Atlantic plains, Souss, and the eastern and southern parts of the southern provinces.

Sea conditions will be calm to slightly rough in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, and slightly rough to rough along the Atlantic coast, concluded the weather authority.
