Rabat – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have been named Men’s Club of the Year at the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony in London on Monday, securing the prestigious award for the second consecutive year.
The French champions received the recognition after another remarkable campaign under head coach Luis Enrique, during which they successfully defended their UEFA Champions League title and continued their dominance of French football.
PSG emerged victorious from a five-club shortlist that included Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Flamengo and Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt.
French international Ousmane Dembele, who won the 2025 Ballon d’Or, took to the stage to receive the award on behalf of the Parisian club.
Another historic year for PSG
The recognition follows an exceptional period for PSG, who added several major trophies to their collection over the past year.
Alongside winning consecutive Champions League titles, the French giants secured the 2025-26 Ligue 1 championship, the FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
Their domestic and European success has strengthened their position among the world’s leading football clubs.
PSG also made history in the individual Ballon d’Or nominations, becoming the first club to have 10 players shortlisted for the men’s award in a single edition.
Among the nominees was Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, who played an important role in the club’s successful campaign.
The Moroccan defender finished 13th in this year’s individual Ballon d’Or rankings, having placed sixth in the previous edition.
Other PSG nominees included Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Joao Neves and Vitinha.
The latest award adds another distinction to PSG’s growing list of achievements under Luis Enrique, whose team has established itself as one of Europe’s dominant forces.
The 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony took place at London’s Palladium Theatre, marking the 70th anniversary of the prestigious awards.
