Morocco U17 team news

Head coach Anwar Mghinia’s side is full of confidence after their historic win over Costa Rica, which secured their place in the knockout stage. FC Barcelona’s wonder Maysa Baha and multiple scorer now led from the front in the last game, and is a key attacking threat.

Morocco will look to be compact and hit on the break, using their pace out wide and home support to unsettle the Korean defence. Mghinia has stressed discipline and energy as his players prepare for the biggest test yet. Judging by his unwavering confidence in his team, the squad should be ready for this test.

Predicted lineup (4–3–3): Boukhareb, Hamdani, Diyen, Rahmoune, Youssoufi, Bouzman, Azraf, Chafni, Baha, Abajiou.

Korea DPR U17 team news

The defending champions arrived in Rabat in good form, having won all three of their group matches. Their quick interchanges and structured attack make them one of the most dangerous teams in the competition.

Head coach Rim Chol-Min is expected to stick with the same team that impressed throughout the group stage, led by their prolific front line and solid back four. Korea DPR’s pace, pressing and tactical awareness have made them early favourites to retain the title.

Predicted lineup (4–4–2): Kim, Yun, Ryu, Ri, Ri, Ri,Eh, Pak, Kim, Yu.

What to expect

Morocco will rely on the home fans to get them going against a more experienced and technical team. Expect the hosts to play with passion, press high early and look for quick counter attacks.

Korea DPR will dominate possession and control the tempo with their midfield and wide play.

Set pieces and defending will be key for Morocco, while Korea DPR will look to score early to silence the stadium. If Morocco stay disciplined and take their chances, another upset could be on the cards.

Safe calls

  • Korea DPR Win or Draw: Defending champions with strong tournament form.
  • Over 1.5 Goals: Both teams have shown attacking intent.
  • Both Teams to Score: Morocco’s front line carries momentum after the Costa Rica win.
  • Score prediction: Morocco 1–3 Korea DPR.
