Rabat – Morocco’s Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired the Diplomatic Charity Gala, organized by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates and the Diplomatic Foundation, in Rabat on Wednesday night.
Aiming to raise funds for the benefit of social action programs in Morocco, the gala is set to channel its proceeds into numerous associative projects in healthcare, education, and the training of young girls.
Addressing the audience, UAE Ambassador Al-Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri expressed “deep gratitude” to King Mohammed VI and to Princess Lalla Hasnaa for her commitment to charitable initiatives.
He also emphasized the strong and mutual friendship between the UAE and Morocco, noting that they continue to share strong ties and share common interests.
Furthermore, Al Dhaheri commended the Moroccan people’s resilience and unity in the aftermath of the Al-Haouz earthquake, also highlighting the country’s efforts to recover and reconstruct.
Abdelati Habek, President of the Diplomatic Foundation, affirmed that their ongoing charitable endeavors and social commitment stem from “an approach founded on strengthening patriotism and solidarity values,” Morocco’s news agency (MAP) reported.
Habek also underscored Princess Lalla Hasnaa’s interest in charitable actions, noting that the proceeds from this Diplomatic Charity Gala would benefit associations providing social services to those affected by the September 8 earthquake.
Upon her arrival, the Princess reviewed a section of the Auxiliary Forces who received honors at the event.
