Rabat – Syria and Palestine have officially advanced to the quarterfinals of the Arab Cup after playing to a 0-0 draw in their final group stage match. The game was marked by caution from both sides, as neither team wanted to risk defeat with qualification on the line.

By holding the scoreline, both teams secured five points in the group, enough to guarantee their passage to the next round. Their consistency across the three matches gave them the edge over their rivals.

Tunisia, despite earning four points, fell short and was eliminated from the competition. Qatar, meanwhile, ended its campaign with only one point, finishing last in the group and leaving the tournament early.

The match itself offered few clear chances, with both Syria and Palestine focusing on defensive organization and safe play.

The priority was to protect their position in the standings rather than chase unnecessary risks. In the end, the strategy worked, as the draw benefited both sides equally.

For Syria, this achievement shows their steady progress in regional football, while Palestine’s qualification is seen as a proud moment for their supporters and the whole Arab world.

Both teams have written a new chapter in their Arab Cup history, proving their ability to compete in a group that remained tight until the final whistle.
