Agadir – One Retail, the retail platform of H&S Group, has announced the acquisition of 100% of the capital and voting rights of Be Cafetal and Dahab Industrie, the companies operating under the Moroccan coffee shop brand Dahab Coffee.

According to the company, the transaction forms part of its strategy to expand its Restaurant & Coffee Shops division and support the development of Moroccan brands with strong growth potential.

A national coffee brand with an integrated model

Founded in 2011 in Tetouan, Dahab has grown into a widely recognized Moroccan coffee brand with a national network of more than 100 points of sale. The company operates through an integrated value chain covering the import, roasting, and distribution of coffee.

This structure allows the brand to manage the entire production and supply process while supporting its retail network across Morocco. Dahab also develops a professional distribution channel alongside its coffee shop operations.

In the statement shared by One Retail, the company highlighted the brand’s position in the market.

“We are pleased to announce the acquisition of the Dahab coffee shop chain by One Retail, H&S Group’s retail platform,” the company said. “This operation concerns 100% of the capital of the companies Be Cafetal and Dahab Industrie, operating under the Dahab brand, a Moroccan brand recognized in the world of coffee.”

It added, “With more than 100 points of sale across Morocco and an integrated value chain covering the import, roasting and distribution of coffee, Dahab is a brand firmly rooted in the consumption habits of Moroccans.”

CEO of Dahab, Saad Builler said the partnership will help the brand accelerate its development while maintaining its identity.

“This partnership marks a new stage in Dahab’s development. Joining forces with One Retail and, more broadly, with H&S Group, will allow us to accelerate the expansion of our network and strengthen our organization, while preserving the brand’s DNA and core values,” Builler explained.

Part of a broader retail expansion strategy

For Moncef Belkhayat, Chairman and CEO of H&S Group, the acquisition is in line with the company’s broader strategy to build a strong portfolio of retail brands in Morocco.

“The acquisition of Dahab is part of our strategy to build a strong and cohesive Restaurant & Coffee Shop division,” Belkhayat said. “Dahab is a popular Moroccan brand with recognized expertise and an extensive network. Our ambition is to support its growth while preserving its close relationship with consumers and the values that have made it successful.”

In a separate message shared on LinkedIn, Belkhayat described Dahab as “a great nugget,” noting that the acquisition increases the group’s Food and Beverage footprint.

“Our build up on One Retail continues to move forward with the acquisition of 100% of the Dahab coffee shops brand. This acquisition allows us to already manage 150 Food & Beverage points of sale with many synergies to be created with Venezia-Ice,” he wrote.

Belkhayat added that within eight months the group has expanded its retail ecosystem to include brands such as Mr.Bricolage Maroc, Flormar, BeautyForYou, Venezia Ice, and Dahab Coffee.

“It is already 250 operational stores, 1,000 employees and 1 billion MAD projected in 2026,” he wrote.

The company hopes that integrating Dahab into its retail ecosystem will strengthen its position in Morocco’s evolving coffee market while supporting the growth of locally established brands.
