Rabat – Hilton’s Hampton has officially opened its doors in Ben Guerir, with a capacity of 94 rooms.

The facility marks the first Hampton in Morocco, marking the brand’s first establishment in the country.

It is ideally situated in front of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), which gathers academics and students from all over the country and the world.

In 2023, Hilton also opened the DoubleTree in Bengurir.

Hampton by Hilton extends its offers not only to business travelers but also to short-stay visitors.

Marrakech is only 40 kilometers from Ben Gurir, which makes the Hilton only a short trip for visitors seeking a calm entourage away from the Red City’s busy streets.

The hotel is rolling out various amenities, including a fitness center and an outdoor pool.

Moroccan news outlet Le360 quoted the hotel’s management, which stated that Hampton represents a “real opportunity for the youth of Ben Guerir.”

They added that the goal for the hotel is to develop a “modern, responsible, and forward-looking hospitality sector.”

Morocco is already a regional leader in tourism. The North African country welcomed nearly 20 million tourists last year, representing an increase of 14% compared to the number recorded in 2024.

In January 2026 alone, Morocco received over 1.3 million visitors – a 3% increase over the same period in 2025.

Morocco bets on prestigious events like the World Cup 2030, which it is co-hosting, to further strengthen the hospitality sector and tourism appeal.

A top destination in Africa, Morocco is spending billions of dollars to boost its hotel capacity by 20% before the FIFA World Cup.

Recent reports said Morocco is embarking on a $4 billion project to boost its hotel capacity to add 25,000 new rooms.

Most of the 700 planned projects across Morocco’s major cities will receive funding from local investors.

Looking ahead, the North African country has the bar set high, aiming to reach 26 million tourists by 2030.
