Rabat – King Mohammed VI conveyed his sincere condolences to the grieving family of the late Aïcha El Khattabi, the daughter of the late Mohamed Ben Abdelkrim El Khattabi, the Moroccan state media reported.
In a heartfelt message, the King spoke of experiencing deep sorrow upon receiving the grievous news of Aïcha El Khattabi’s passing.
“In this somber moment, the King extended his sincere condolences to the bereaved family, as well as to all those closely connected to the late Aïcha El Khattabi,” the royal statement read.
In addition, the King recalled and praised the remarkable qualities of the deceased, including her unwavering love for her homeland, her loyalty, and her steadfast dedication to the sacred values of the Nation and the esteemed Alawite Throne.
Aicha El Khattabi passed away at the age of 81 in Casablanca on Wednesday following a long illness.
Born in 1942, she spent her early years in Egypt, where she pursued her education and earned a bachelor’s degree from the American College for Girls in Cairo.
Following the loss of her father, a prominent Moroccan nationalist leader who played a pivotal role in the struggle against Spanish and French occupation during the 20th century, she returned to her homeland Morocco.
Aicha El Khattabi was actively involved in various endeavors throughout her life and served as an advisor to the Mohamed Abdelkrim El Khattabi foundation.
