Things reportedly boiled over again at Real Madrid today after another confrontation between Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni at the club’s Valdebebas training ground.

Marca revealed that the situation became serious enough for Real Madrid officials to step in and organize an emergency meeting with the squad shortly after training.

The reported altercation came just one day after both midfielders were already involved in a heated exchange during yesterday’s session.

Marca says Valverde was taken to the hospital

According to Marca, tension between the two players started early in the day after Valverde allegedly refused to shake Tchouaméni’s hand before training.

The report claims the mood stayed tense throughout the session, with several aggressive tackles before things escalated again in the dressing room afterward.

Marca added that Valverde suffered a cut after falling and hitting the edge of a table during the confrontation. The Uruguay midfielder reportedly lost consciousness briefly and later needed hospital treatment.

Spanish TV show El Chiringuito later reported that Valverde received stitches, while former Madrid defender and current coach Álvaro Arbeloa accompanied him to the hospital.

So far, Real Madrid has not released an official statement regarding the reported incident.

Marca also reported that no players were allowed to leave the training center immediately after the altercation.

Real Madrid CEO José Ángel Sánchez is said to have gathered the squad for urgent talks as the club tried to calm the situation internally.

The report added that disciplinary action against both players is being considered, although no official decision has been announced.

The atmosphere around the squad has reportedly become increasingly tense in recent weeks as frustrations continue to build late in the season.

🚨🚨 OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM VALVERDE:

Yesterday I had an incident with a teammate during a training session. The fatigue from competition and the frustration made everything seem blown out of proportion.

Pressure keeps growing before El Clásico

The timing could hardly be worse for Real Madrid ahead of Sunday’s Clásico against FC Barcelona.

Madrid are still dealing with disappointment after their UEFA Champions League exit against FC Bayern Munich, while their hopes of catching Barcelona in the La Liga title race have almost disappeared.

Spanish media have also linked the club to other dressing-room tensions in recent months, including a reported training-ground incident involving Antonio Rüdiger and Álvaro Carreras.

Barcelona could officially secure the league title with a win on Sunday, adding even more pressure around Madrid before one of the biggest matches of the season.
