Rabat – Morocco has secured a spot among the most sought-after visa-free destinations for Saudi travelers, according to data from the travel site Wingie.

With its enchanting landscapes and rich cultural heritage, the North African country is the fifth most favorite travel destination for Saudi tourists.

Topping the list of visa-free destinations for Saudi travelers is Cairo, with a remarkable 40% of bookings. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) followed with 14% of bookings, while Thailand and the Philippines secured 9% and 5%, respectively.

After Morocco, destinations like Georgia, Oman, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jordan, Malaysia, and Qatar complete the list of visa-free hotspots favored by Saudi travelers.

The data from Wingie showcased a shift in travel trends among Saudi passport holders.

Saudi tourists have been increasingly turning their attention to visa-free or visa-on-arrival countries, in a bid to escape the complexities and time-consuming processes associated with visa applications.
