Morocco international Neil El Aynaoui said that the Atlas Lions are fully focused on their opening match against Brazil at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, determined to make a strong start to the tournament.

According to Elbotol,  Aynaoui described Brazil as one of the strongest teams in the world of football but insisted that Morocco is already ready for the challenge.

“Yes, it’s a big match. Brazil has top players in every position, so it will certainly be a tough game,” Aynaoui said. “But we are determined and very excited to begin this challenge.”

The midfielder revealed that Morocco’s technical staff has spent significant time analyzing Brazil’s recent performances and studying individual players.

“We have worked well on analyzing some of Brazil’s players. The coaching staff followed their recent matches closely,” he explained. “We will try to exploit their weaknesses wherever they may be.”

Aynaoui also praised the support of Moroccan fans, highlighting the atmosphere during the recent friendly against Norway.

“Moroccan supporters are amazing and exceptional. We felt as if we were playing at home against Norway,” he said. “We hope they continue supporting us as they always do.”

Morocco and Brazil will face off on Saturday at 11:00 p.m. local time in one of the most anticipated matches of the opening round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
