Rabat – Jordan national team star Mousa Al-Tamari has congratulated Morocco, Egypt, and Algeria on advancing to the Round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup, tipping the North African trio to make a deep run into the final stages of the tournament.

Reflecting on Jordan’s campaign, Al-Tamari highlighted the invaluable experience gained from competing on the world stage while expressing his gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support.

“Our participation in the World Cup will teach us a lot,” Al-Tamari told Alghad TV. “I want to thank the fans who stood by us, and I promise them that the best is yet to come.”

The Jordanian winger then turned his attention to his regional neighbors, offering high praise and ambitious predictions for the other Arab nations remaining in the tournament.

“Congratulations to Egypt, Morocco, and Algeria on advancing to the second round,” Al-Tamari added. “They will reach the semifinals and the final, God willing.”

Jordan was eliminated from the tournament during the group stage following a hard-fought 3–1 loss to Argentina on Sunday. Despite Al-Tamari scoring a brilliant second-half goal to give his team hope, the defeat ultimately sealed the debutants’ exit from the competition.

Morocco is set to face the Netherlands in a highly anticipated Round of 32 clash at the Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, Mexico. The Atlas Lions secured their spot in the knockout stage after finishing as runners-up in Group C following a decisive 4–2 victory over Haiti.

Egypt is locked in to face Australia following their second-place finish in Group G. Meanwhile, Algeria progressed as one of the best third-placed teams after a dramatic 3–3 draw with Austria, setting up a knockout clash against Switzerland.
