Rabat – Spanish football club Villarreal is firmly rejecting transfer bids for Morocco star Ilias Akhomach ahead of the upcoming season.

Multiple elite European clubs have expressed strong interest in signing the young attacker during the current summer transfer window.

Citing Spanish sports newspaper AS, regional sports outlet Elbotola confirmed that Espanyol and Olympique de Marseille are preparing competitive offers.

Villarreal management currently refuses to authorize a transfer for the talented athlete. The club views him as a crucial component for their immediate sporting objectives.

Technical staff members plan to integrate the forward deeply into the tactical setup of the team this year. The right wing position offers significant playing time for the young talent.

Coaches intend to utilize recent acquisitions like Nicolas Pepe in alternative roles. This tactical choice opens a clear path for the Moroccan international to start regularly.

Spanish media reports indicate that the final decision will depend heavily on the personal preference of the player. He must evaluate the sporting projects presented by the interested clubs.

The 20-year-old athlete recently showcased his offensive skills on the global stage at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He played a vital role in helping the Moroccan national under-23 football team secure a historic bronze medal.

The national squad secured a commanding 6-0 victory over Egypt in the third-place match on August 8. His impressive performances in France further elevated his European market value.

Villarreal originally signed Morocco star Ilias Akhomach on a free transfer from FC Barcelona in July 2023. The athlete quickly adapted and delivered consistent performances in La Liga.

During his debut season, the player participated in 39 matches across all competitions. He contributed four goals and five assists to the overall success of the squad.

The talented forward holds a valid contract with Villarreal that extends until June 2026. This legal agreement gives the Spanish club significant leverage in any potential transfer negotiations.

The continuous development of Morocco star Ilias Akhomach highlights the successful integration of young talents in top European leagues. Football analysts predict a breakout season for the dynamic winger if he remains in Spain.

Supporters now await a definitive statement from the athlete or his representatives regarding his club future.
