Rabat – Health authorities in Gaza continue to update the death toll since the genocidal war on Palestinians in October 2023.
Palestinian news agency Wafa said the death toll rose to 74,237 since the “aggression” in October 2023, citing new attacks that killed nine people in the past 24 hours.
The news agency said health authorities received the dead bodies of nine people over the past 24 hours, including six newly killed Palestinians. The report said three of them succumbed to their injuries while one body was recovered from the rubble.
“Eighteen Palestinians were also injured during the same period,” the news agency said.
Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continued to breach the mechanism announced on October 11 of last year. According to the report, a total of 1,454 Palestinians were killed, and 5,090 others were injured.
“The sources added that 181 Palestinians were added to the cumulative death toll after their data were completed and approved by the committee responsible for documenting and certifying fatalities,” the report added.
Converging reports also said Israeli colonists assaulted farmers today and stole their harvested olives and farming equipment.
Quoting witnesses, Wafa said a group of colonists attacked a family, forcing them to leave their land and stealing their harvested olives.
In September, a UN report said over 1,600 settler attacks resulted in Palestinian casualties or property damage between January and August 2026.
The UN report said the attacks across 275 communities averaged 6.7 attacks per day, up from five per day in 2025.
“Some 846,000 students began the new school year in the West Bank amid continued access constraints, while regular schooling remains disrupted for more than 4,000 displaced,” the UN report said.
