Weather

Agadir – The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts a slight rise in temperatures across most of Morocco today, alongside scattered showers in some areas, coastal fog, and strong wind gusts in several regions.

The DGM expects partly cloudy skies over the High Atlas and the extreme south of the Eastern region, with scattered showers in both areas.

Low clouds will frequently cover the Mediterranean coast, Rhamna, and the Atlantic coast, with fog or drizzle in some locations.

Moderate to fairly strong wind gusts will affect the Tangier region, the central and southern coasts, and the Southeast.

Minimum temperatures will range from 3°C to 9°C in the Atlas and Rif mountains, and from 9°C to 15°C in the Eastern region and along the eastern slopes of the Atlas. Other regions will record minimum temperatures between 15°C and 21°C.

Marrakech and Kenitra will record maximum temperatures of 33°C, while Taounate and Laayoune will reach 32°C. Fez and Meknes will each see highs of 31°C.

In the southern provinces, Es Semara will record the highest forecast temperature at 35°C, followed by Aousserd at 34°C.

Casablanca will reach 26°C, while Rabat will record a high of 25°C. Agadir will see temperatures of up to 28°C, and Essaouira will reach 27°C.

Mountainous areas will remain cooler, with maximum temperatures of 20°C in Bouarfa and Midelt and 22°C in Ifrane.

The DGM also forecasts calm to slightly rough seas along the Mediterranean coast. The Strait of Gibraltar and the Atlantic coast will experience slightly rough to rough sea conditions.
