Rabat – Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering Moroccan international Abde Ezzalzouli as a potential replacement for Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes on Monday, October 26, the Parisian club has included the Real Betis winger among its potential targets as it assesses options to strengthen the left side of its attack ahead of the January transfer window.
The report, citing transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, suggests that PSG are exploring possible alternatives to cover Kvaratskhelia’s expected absence during the second half of the season.
Although head coach Luis Enrique has previously expressed confidence in his squad’s ability to cope with absences, the club is reportedly assessing whether to enter the winter transfer market to reinforce its attacking options.
Ezzalzouli’s performances for Real Betis last season have reportedly attracted attention from several European clubs. The Moroccan winger scored 15 goals and provided 13 assists, showcasing his pace, dribbling ability, and capacity to create chances in one-on-one situations.
However, a potential move could prove financially challenging for PSG. Ezzalzouli remains under contract with the Spanish club until June 2029, with a reported release clause of €60 million.
Barcelona also retains 20% of the economic rights associated with a future sale, according to the report, adding another financial consideration to any potential transfer.
PSG are not the only club reportedly monitoring the Moroccan international. Barcelona are also keeping an eye on his situation, raising the possibility of renewed interest from the club where Ezzalzouli previously developed.
Despite the speculation, the report did not indicate that PSG had submitted an official offer to Real Betis. Ezzalzouli’s future therefore remains uncertain, with any potential move dependent on developments in the transfer market and PSG’s final decision on how to address Kvaratskhelia’s absence.
