Rabat – Morocco’s national football team is set to lock horns with France at the Qatar World Cup’s semi-finals after the European country defeated England in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
The pair will play against each other on December 14 at 8:00 pm at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar.
France clinched a 2-1 victory against England at the Al Bayt Stadium, with the two teams displaying a strong performance.
Morocco‘s Atlas Lions have once again made history at the ongoing tournament after beating pre-match favorites and football heavy-weights Portugal on Saturday.
The North African team became the first Arab and African nation to reach the tournament’s semi-final, an achievement that has been widely celebrated across Africa and the Arab world.
The Moroccan squad managed to defy all odds and send home some of the tournament’s early favorites, including Belgium, which is ranked as FIFA’s second-best team in the world.

Morocco’s head coach Walid Regragui was adamant to successfully lead the Atlas Lions throughout the global sporting event and continue making history.
“We want to go down in history … with the mindset we’ve had from the start, with the quality of our performance,” Regragui said yesterday at Morocco’s pre-match conference.
Morocco’s epic win has prompted wild celebrations across the country. Donning the Atlas lions’ jerseys and waving the country’s flag, Moroccan fans displayed great happiness and joy over the well-deserved victory.
In addition, football fans across Africa and the Arab World are rooting for Morocco, their only remaining representative in Qatar.
