Rabat – Morocco will host on Monday a roadshow in the Republic of Korea to promote the “Morocco Now” brand with an aim of shedding light on the kingdom’s economic attractiveness and business-friendly climate.

The roadshow, which will be held between July 4 to 6 in the capital Seoul, is of a particular significance as the two countries are celebrating 60 years since the establishment of their diplomatic ties, vowing to boost their trade volume and cooperation in several fields.

With Korea being the fourth largest economy on the Asian continent, the roadshow would contribute to give a new impetus to Rabat-Seoul cooperation while attracting more Korean investors to Morocco.

Morocco launched the global marketing campaign “Morocco Now” in 2021 on the sideline of its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai to promote the country as a world-class industrial and export zone.

The country has been garnering international attention as a promising destination for investors looking to establish a strong foothold in Africa, while maintaining a presence in international markets.

Organized by the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE) with the support of the Moroccan embassy in Korea, the event will shed light on the vast opportunities Morocco has to offer in automotive, aeronautics, textiles, the pharmaceutical industry, outsourcing, and agri-food, among others.

During the ceremony, Korean business-leaders, government officials, and industrial partners will get to learn about Morocco’s geopolitical, geographical, and economic assets, as well as the country’s stability and new development model (NDM) that allowed it to rise to the forefront on the African continent.

The roadshow is also set to host round tables and Business to Business (B2B) meetings between Moroccan business leaders and their Korean counterparts, as well as potential investors from the East Asian country.

In recent years, the kingdom has managed to establish itself as a leading industrial and export platform, particularly in the automotive industry.

The North African country also benefits from world-class infrastructures and operates as a gate connecting Africa to the rest of the world through the Tanger Med Port, the largest seaport in the Mediterranean coasts and the first commercial port of Africa.
