Casablanca – A delegation of the Popular National Congress of Al-Quds started on Sunday a four-day visit to Morocco.

Led by General Bilal Al-Natsheh, Secretary-General of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s National Popular Congress of Al-Quds, the delegation will meet Monday with Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency officials and the Palestinian ambassador to Morocco, according to a statement from the Agency.

The delegation will also visit the Mohammed V mausoleum and the seat of Parliament, added the statement.

Members of the delegation will also take part in an Al-Quds commemoration of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (ICESCO) designation of Rabat as the Islamic world’s cultural capital on Tuesday.

The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency is organizing the event, which will inaugurate an exhibition of images of Al-Quds under the theme “Rabat in Al-Quds.”

Marking the commemoration will be the signing of a collaboration and partnership agreement between the National Popular Congress of Al-Quds and the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency.

The Palestinian committee will travel to Fez on Wednesday to attend a working session at the Fez Agency for Development and Rehabilitation.

While in Fez, the Palestinian delegation will visit historical landmarks in the city and attend a meeting on collaboration between Fez and Rabat.

Established in 1975, Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency — an initiative of the late King Hassan II of Morocco — is a non-profit dedicated to humanitarian work in Palestine.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) recognized the agency in December 1995, and it formally began its operations in July 1998.

The agency held its inaugural meeting in February 2000 under the auspices of Morocco’s King Mohammed VI, who also serves as the Al-Quds Committee’s head.
