Rabat – Morocco’s Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Benguerir is set to host the 2nd edition of the “best sustainable development report” competition on June 17.
Master’s students from several Moroccan universities will evaluate the “sustainable development reports” issued by companies listed on Casablanca’s Stock Exchange.
According to the organizers, the contest seeks to shed light on Moroccan companies’ commitment to the UN’s sustainable development goals (SDGs), while reinforcing the skills of young and future leaders to adopt a sustainable management approach to facing emerging challenges.
The award ceremony will also feature an all-inclusive analysis of the companies’ environmental, social, and governance criteria.
The annual competition is organized in partnership with the African Chair of Innovation and Sustainable Management (CAIMD), the Casablanca Stock Exchange, Finance Montreal, and the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM).

The renowned competition represents an opportunity for CAIMD to further expand the contest and training to other African countries including Tunisia and the Ivory Coast, according to a joint statement issued by the organizers.
Alongside UM6P who aims to expand its initiatives across the continent, the CAIMD intends to further contribute to the training of various key academic targets, including students and university professors.
As part of its commitment to the SDGs and sustainability, UM6P launched earlier this year an Executive Master BIM for Building Performance & Territorial Management, which aims to train qualified professionals in the field of innovation and sustainable territories.
The program focuses mainly on sustainability and implementing sustainable buildings, as advocated by the UN’s SDG 11.
