Rabat – Morocco’s Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication Mehdi Bensaid has promoted Morocco’s efforts to integrate young people into society, as part of the Arab Meeting of Young Leaders in Dubai, the UAE.

Bensaid spoke about several Moroccan initiatives with youth ministers from other Arab countries about Morocco’s initiatives to strengthen youth engagement in society.

During the meeting, the Moroccan official welcomed schemes in other  Arab countries to empower youth, while stressing the need to promote entrepreneurship and boost training to allow young people secure jobs.

The meeting, organized by the Arab Youth Center, was  held on the sidelines of the “World Government Summit” as part of the Expo 2020 Dubai.

The meeting looked to link young leaders from various fields and sectors together with key decision-makers, including members of Arab and international governments and institutions.

During the meeting, ministers looked at different strategies to create successful youth projects and previous government policies that have led to successful programmes in the past.

The large-scale event aims to promote joint Arab action and investment to empower youth and unlock their potential to contribute to the development and stability of the Arab world.

Last week, The Moroccan minister unveiled plans to set up 150 cinemas, theaters and youth centers across the country by the end of the year in a bid to expand the cultural sector.

Bensaid last year announced plans to create a “Youth Pass” that will allow young people in Morocco to access movie theaters, museums, galleries, and other cultural spaces for special rates.
