Minister of Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita also attended the meeting.

Bilal Messoud and Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch co-chaired today the 8th session of the Moroccan-Mauritanian Joint High Commission.

The meeting served as an opportunity to discuss means to consolidate cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was also an opportunity to establish partnerships in different areas in accordance with instructions from King Mohammed VI and Mauritania’s President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.

The working session saw the signing of 13 cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding.

The agreements cover the fields of agriculture, maritime fishing and aquaculture, environment protection, and sustainable development.

The agreements also seek to boost the industrial sector, health, vocational training, regional planning, and housing cooperation between the two countries.
