Rabat – King Mohammed VI offered today, March 11, a lunch ceremony to welcome Mauritania Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Bilal Messoud, who is leading a delegation to Morocco for a working visit.
Nasser Bourita, Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Ali Himma and Omar Azziman, advisors to King Mohammed VI attended the lunch ceremony along with other senior officials — including Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami and Speaker of House of Councilors Naama Mayara.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita also attended the meeting.
Bilal Messoud and Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch co-chaired today the 8th session of the Moroccan-Mauritanian Joint High Commission.
The meeting served as an opportunity to discuss means to consolidate cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was also an opportunity to establish partnerships in different areas in accordance with instructions from King Mohammed VI and Mauritania’s President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.
The working session saw the signing of 13 cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding.
The agreements cover the fields of agriculture, maritime fishing and aquaculture, environment protection, and sustainable development.
The agreements also seek to boost the industrial sector, health, vocational training, regional planning, and housing cooperation between the two countries.
