Fez – Procter & Gamble (P&G) has organized the first day of a program about awareness and coaching for the benefit of young girls of the boarding school of Oualidia middle school, in Sidi Bennour province, Casablanca.

The program is directed by P&G, the Rotary Casa-Nord, and the Rotary Geneva International and includes a long series of educational days.

A statement from P&G said that the program is part of the 23rd year of partnership with the Ministry of Education to raise awareness among young girls about reproductive health in rural areas.

‘Rise Up Girls’ program offers several workshops revolving around three key themes: Health and Family, Career and Education, Self-confidence and Well-being, the statement indicated. The program is projected to enable girls in rural areas to approach their lives as young women with more confidence, it added.

Loubna Aziz, general-director of P&G Morocco, Zainab Alji, Director of P&G Communications, Berraz Abdeljabbar, Director of Oualidia middle school, and Maha Hmeid, President of the Rotary Club Casa-Nord participated in the inauguration of the program on December 23.

The program primarily targets young girls entering puberty and strives to foster reproductive health education in order to enlighten girls with the required information about their health, hygiene, and well-being to guide them to successfully navigate puberty.

This program has benefited more than 4 million young women so far. P&G is expanding its program in collaboration with Rotary Casa-Nord and Rotary Geneva International to provide young girls with unwavering support and coaching during the sensitive stage of puberty.

The creation of the ‘Rise Up Girls’ program comes in line with the collaboration to help young women educate themselves about health-related issues.

William Procter and James Gamble founded P&G in 1837. The company has been involved in products linked to personal health, personal care, and hygiene over the past 184 years.
