Rabat- Morocco dominated Palestine, 4-0, Wednesday at the Al Janoub stadium in Al Wakrah in Qatar, during the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup.

Morocco started the Arab Cup properly, with no major problems to get their first win in the Arab Cup after beating Palestine in their Group C opener.

Goals were mainly scored by Mohamed Nahiri at 31,’ Abdelilah Hafidi at 56’, 64,’ and Badr Benoun at 87.’

Morocco’s next game against Jordan is scheduled for December 4, and then against Saudi Arabia on December 7.

Morocco is part of Group C, alongside Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Palestine.

The national team selection arrived in Doha on November 25 evening to take part in the first edition of the FIFA Arab Cup, set to take place from November 30 to December 18.

Recently, the coach of the national A football team, Houssain Ammouta, unveiled the final list of the 23 players selected to take part in the 2021 Qatar FIFA Arab Cup, including Soufiane Rahimi, Anas Zniti, Mohamed Nahiri, and Yahya Jabrane.

Earlier, Algeria had won ahead of Sudan with the same score and Egypt won against Lebanon (1-0).

Palestine has lost twice this year, once in World Cup qualification to Saudi Arabia and another time to Kyrgyzstan in the Three Nations Cup.

The winner of the Arab Cup will pocket a sum of USD5 million, ahead of 3 million for the runner-up, 2 million for the 3rd in the standings, and 1.5 million for the 4th.
